“Oriental Model” John Everard. Robert Hale Ltd., 1955, London. Folio, red cloth, viii,14pp, (50). A unique work in the history of photography. Everard, famous for his portrayal of the perfect human form, travelled 40,000 miles across Asia with his wife Jane gathering materials that would eventually result in this opus. The volume is bound in red cloth with gilt titling to the spine and front cover and comprises half-title, title page, contents etc., plus 14 pages of text with an introduction and descriptions of the photographs and 48 full-page photographic plates. The book is in very good condition in a non price clipped dust-jacket. The jacket has a small chip to the top of spine and slight wear to the corners, otherwise it is in clean bright condition. Scarce.
