An exponent of the Postmacchiaioli movement, Ulvi Liegi (born Luigi Levi; 1858-1939) was an Italian painter from Livorno. He was born into a wealthy Jewish family and spent his formative years in Livorno and then Florence, where he associated with members of the Macchiaioli group, in particular Telemaco Signorini and Giovanni Fattori.
