Small 8vo., fine nineteenth-century full leather binding with gilt ornamentation to boards, inner board edges and spine, red and black leather labels to spine, raised bands, marbled endpapers (perhaps contemporary with binding or more recent), gilt edges, pp. 226, with frontis. copper-engraved by Giacomo Piccini (written ‘Jac. Picini’) after a drawing by Daniel van den Dyck (written ‘D. Vandich’). Binding scuffed at extremities, some discoloration to front board, otherwise a very good copy of the Venetian intellectual Giovanni Francesco Loredano’s jocose interpretation of the Iliad. Text in Italian.
