SIGNED and inscribed by the author. 8vo. 206pp. Would-be fine condition, were it not for tanned edges and some almost imperceptible marks to the jacket’s edges [see pictures] Signed on card from the National Portrait Gallery, supplementary to the book, with the inscription: “To F.J. Roberts, Very best wishes, Kazuo Ishiguro”. The inscription is dated “20/7/98”. A beautiful copy. Kazuo Ishiguro is one of the most important and best regarded British novelists of the last three decades. He won the Booker Prize for ‘The Remains of the Day’ in 1989, and the Nobel Prize in 2017. A highly collectible author and an increasingly rare signature. First and near-fine.
