Spines a bit dry, with small chips at extremities, joints tender, boards scuffed, with some gouges, minimal worming through pages (mainly at end of vol. 2), with no loss of text, stains/foxing to title page of vol. 2. Pages bright and tight, a very good copy. The most well-known book by the German physician and anatomist Lorenz Heister (1683-1758), a highly influential textbook for surgeons, used in Vienna as late as 1838. Text in Latin.
