Sarda, e Christianissima’. Very rare. A description of the Austrian surrender of the Sforza castle in Milan to French and Sardinian troops during the War of Polish Succession. The siege took place a matter of days after the crucial surrender of Pizzighettone and Gera, the first major military engagement of the northern Italian campaigns of what transpired to be a European war stemming from conflict over the succession of Augustus II to the throne of Poland. Map foxed, some minor stains to pages; otherwise a good, bright copy. Text in Italian.
