Internally: each volume has a library bookplate to front end paper; discrete library stamps throughout, mainly to verso of illustrations, (i. e. not on the illustrated side). Illustrations themselves are all free of stamps. Pages and illustrations in very good, clean condition throughout. Spine’s vellum is in good condition. Spine’s gilt still extraordinarily bright. Generally a very good, clean and solid set, without the usual wear one might associate with an ex-library set. Four, heavy volumes; price of postage will likely have to be adjusted accordingly.
