Mounted to the front pastedown are 217 vibrantly coloured thread samples. Very scarce. Ex library, with shelfmark to heel in white pen, sticker to front pastedown (above samples), sticker ghost to page opposite half title, stamps to preliminaries and some of the plates, security tag ghost to rear pastedown; binding stained, scuffed and heavily worn, spine and hinges splitting, stains and foxing to pages – though the plates themselves are clean – with plate no. 5 detached. The copy is in fair condition and complete with publisher’s advertisements to rear.
