Terms of Trade
Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or pro-forma invoice; alternative arrangements can be made for institutions: please contact us for details. We accept all cards except Diners. Please note that books can only be delivered to the address at which the card is registered. Cheques or Bank Drafts must be in Sterling and drawn on a UK bank account.

Prices quoted in our on-line catalogue are exclusive of postage and insurance. Title does not transfer from the seller until payment is made in full: transactions are made under British Law.
Orders must be confirmed within 48 hours. If an order is not confirmed within that time, the transaction will be cancelled and the book(s) returned to the shelf.
Our books are securely packed and shipped to all parts of the world. Customers should normally allow 3 days to a week for delivery within the UK and 10 days to 8 weeks for the rest of the world. Please note that we do not give refunds. If you decide that you do not want a book that you have purchased, we will be happy to exchange it for another of the same value, or to offer a credit note.
In case on non-delivery, or damage to the item(s) purchased, it is essential to inform us within 3 weeks of purhase date within the UK and within 10 weeks of purchase date for the rest of the world.

We are always interested in purchasing books and can travel almost anywhere if the details are tempting enough. Please let us know if you have a large or small collection of books for sale. You can send your list by fax or by e-mail.
